NICCOLO'S RECIPE
serves 6-8

1 cup cracked or whole wheat berries
3 cups venison stock
3 egg yolks
saffron

boil the stock (or water) and add the wheat and saffron.  Cover and let simmer 15-20 minutes stirring frequently.  Turn off heat and leave covered 30 minutes and stir.  Check doneness.  When just ready to serve, add the egg yolks and stir.  Serve hot with meat dish.
